Lucknow has a strong culture of calligraphy, owing to the Islamic influence since the 17th century. Calligraphy has been a major instrument of ornamentation in the numerous splendid monuments across the city.
The session aims at introducing the participants to the basics of calligraphy – such as lettering with a broad tip pen, calligrams, and then allow them to have a lot of fun while giving form to words in an expressive, harmonious, and skillful manner. Leading the session is a gifted calligrapher from Lucknow who loves sharing his art with seekers 🙂
