A wonderful way to take in the essence of Banaras
Dance enthusiast like myself. We discussed the famous artists associated with Banaras, we discussed Kathak and it’s Banaras gharana…two hours just melted away. Then we were treated to the most amazing kachori sabzi in one of the roadside stalls…we went to the akhada that Tulsidas had started…his house…and many many more gems tucked away in the gulleys of Banaras..and all the while Saurav was telling us about the rich history of Banaras and what it is that makes this place tick. All in all a great experience. I will highly recommend Roobaroo Walks!
Art workshop
We visited Varanasi and our daughters participated in a local Art (sketching, coloring, painting local scenes) organized by Roobaroo walks. The process of getting in touch with Roobaroo walks and booking the session was very simple. Anupam from Roobaroo was very responsive and helped us with the arrangements. Our daughters did a 2 hour session with a local artist (Hitesh) that they enjoyed very much and we got souvenir paintings of typical varanasi scene made by our daughters that we can keep to cherish memories from our visit. Worthwhile couple of hours and a good momento in return.
