Sarnath Tour
Sarnath Tour
The story of how a simple, yet profound, epiphany of an inquisitive explorer became the guiding light for 500 million people in today’s world is a most fascinating one. And what better place to relive the tale than where he himself set the wheel of Buddhism in motion about 2,500 years ago!
Join us as we explore the ruins of the first Buddhist monastic system, the Dhameka Stupa where Buddha preached his first sermon, marvel at the gleaming Lion capital which is now India’s national emblem and visit peaceful Buddhist temples. Connecting the dots at these places, we will also understand how a decadent Prince Siddhartha became the enlightened Buddha, and used some fine entrepreneurial skills to spread his wisdom ☺

The visit to Varanasi has been a complete success.
We want to thank you for the organisation and specially to Mudita. She made us feel at home during the whole stay.
Seems that we were lucky and saw the “more real” Varanasi only the last day. First 2 day moving mainly through the river allowed us to enjoy of the views and architecture of the river-face of the city, during the day and night.

we asked the team to put together 2 days worth of a private itinery for 3 people. We did the early morning south walk, the evening north walk, dawn Ganges and Sarnath.
Each was amazing.
We could never have found what we were taken to- dawn wrestling match, flower market, private home in the backstreets, temples. And we would have never got such a mind-blowing view of the evening Aarti ceremony without Sud! (even if it did mean clambering from boat to boat). We were taken for a local breakfast which was one of the best meals of the holiday, and the most delicious Lassi.
Sud ensured we met him without any problems- sending us a photo of himself, and liaised with our taxi to be picked up afterwards (and checked we’d got back to our hotel),. Nothing was too much trouble. We learnt so much and had fun doing it. the highlight of our 2 week holiday. Worth every rupee.
I highly recommend this company- Varanasi is complex and it is well worth having a friendly expert explain the sights and rituals.
