A day out in the beautiful Awadh countryside exploring nature, rounded off with a royal lunch of provincial Awadhi cuisines at a Princely estate!
We take a short drive (~ 1.5 hrs) from the city to explore the beautiful open countryside and informally interact with the locals, soak in the warm winter sun in mustard fields, spot migratory birds and perhaps wade across a stream or harvest water-chestnuts from a lake. The Palatial country homes of the Taluqdars of Avadh are a part of the rich tapestry of the region. These repositories of culture retain much of their old world charm, besides providing us glimpses of the regal lifestyle of a bygone era. We end with a special Lunch based on the royal provincial cuisines of Awadh at a princely estate.
