Food Walk – with a difference!
Food Walk – with a difference!
It is said that the culture of the North which evolved in Delhi, was perfected in Lucknow. And few things are a greater testimony to this than the Lucknowi food! This walk takes us through selected food joints to taste Chaats, Kebaabs, Paranthas, Kachoris, Kulfis, biryanis and deserts – food representative of how Lucknow eats today! We go “Ganjing” in the Victorian era markets of the Hazratganj – Kaiserbag area (built a mere 175 years ago approx), with its broad avenues, grand palaces and well laid gardens.
This walk takes you through some of Old Lucknow’s most stupendous buildings, reveling in the stories of their makers. A short Tonga ride (horse-drawn carriage) will take you into the heart of this epicenter of culture. We explore across its bustling medieval markets, tasting sumptuous delicacies of its refined cuisine and interact with the carriers of the city’s suave mannerisms, whose friendly vibes will make you fall in love with this romantic city.

Historic walking tour
Well curated. Guides were knowledgeable and had some fascinating stories to tell. We enjoyed the visits to local speciality shops that had been around for centuries. Also sampled the delicious local cuisine. By – SKSK49 (24th September, 2019)
